About Jay-Jay

Affectionately known as Mr. Goofy, Lord Jay-Jay Botha was born on January 2, 1988, to Lady Anna C. Botha-Roberts. Born mildly hard of hearing, he proudly wears hearing aids to this day — a testament to his resilience and determination to break boundaries in the performing arts.

Jay-Jay’s educational journey has taken him across the globe, from Fontainebleau School in Johannesburg, South Africa, to Atlanta Metropolitan State College in the USA. Along the way, he earned an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Otero Junior College and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and History from Denver Metropolitan State University.

Driven by his passion for acting, Jay-Jay further honed his craft through specialized training at renowned institutions such as ACT Cape Town, Lights-Camera-Action, Rodini Films, Longshot Improv, and Keep the Act Alive. Each experience has shaped him into the versatile and dynamic performer he is today.
